4th Pan-Hellenic Conference on Digital Cultural Heritage – EuroMed 2021
Description of the event
The conference was co-organized with the UNESCO Chair, EU ERA Chair on Digital Cultural Heritage at the Cyprus University of Technology and the University of West Attica and the Cultural Organization “PERRAIVIA Network†in Greece. With both organizations we signed bilateral agreements in the area of education, research, innovation and development.
The main language of the conference was Greek because it was a joint event to activate all the organizations and stakeholders involved in the digital documentation of Cyprus and Greece.
The main topics of the conference included:
- Greece 1821-2021: 200 Years of Independancy,
- 3D digital documentation, visualization and printing – new smart technologies in humanities and social science,
- Digitization in archaeology for research and education,
- Digital Cultural Tourism,
- Climate Change and Digital Cultural Heritage: conservation and protection,
- e-Museums, e-Libraries, and e-Archive,
- Digital Cultural Heritage: smart cities,
- Creative industry and business opportunities in digital culture heritage.
Impact
The online event had in total 1170 participants (guest speakers, presenters, and attendees) from 17 countries ofn the world (Greek and Cypriot immigrants).
In total of 248 presentations and 97 posters were presented.
