15th International Conference on Metadata and Semantics Research (MTSR)
Description of the event
MTSR is an annual international interdisciplinary conference, which brings together academics, researchers, and practitioners in the specialized fields of metadata, ontologies, and semantics research. The 15th MTSR conference, held online, provided an opportunity for participants to share knowledge and novel approaches in the implementation of semantic technologies across diverse types of information environments and applications. These included Open Access Repositories and Digital Libraries, Cultural Informatics, Digital Humanities, E-learning applications, Search Engine Optimization and Information Retrieval, Research Information Systems and Infrastructures, e-Science and e-Social Science applications, Agriculture, Food and Environment, Bio-Health and Medical Information Systems.
Involvement and mission
The Mnemosyne project was one of the co-organizers of the conference, and as such members were responsible for activities such as scheduling and planning the conference agenda, handling the reviewing of submitted papers, inviting speakers, etc.
Impact
The latest technologies and research on metadata are considered important for the Mnemosyne project, particularly regarding data acquisition and processing, as well as data modelling and knowledge management. The number of participants in this event was 286.
