Short Bio
Elena Karittevli holds a bachelor degree in History and Archaeology from the University of Cyprus and has developed skills in in-depth source analysis, processing research, and historical analytical skills. During her undergraduate studies, she served as a researcher at the University of Cyprus, where she focused on the Hellenistic period (300-69 B.C.) and Balkan wars (1912-1913). Her areas of expertise include European and cultural history, Ancient Greek, memory studies, tangible and intangible heritage, and digital humanities.
Currently, she is a PhD candidate at Cyprus University of Technology, where she has a scholarship in the Digitisation of the History and Memory of Aradippou. In addition, she is a researcher at the UNESCO and European Research Area Chairs on Digital Cultural Heritage within DHRLab of the Cyprus University of Technology, where she is expanding her expertise in the field of digital heritage and cultural informatics.
