Short Bio
Kyriakos Efstathiou since 2019 has been the Chair Holder of the EU ERA (European Research Area) Chair on Digital Cultural Heritage, in the Cyprus University of Technology. From 1982 – 2019 was Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece.
His main research focuses on the holistic digital documentation of the cultural heritage. He is well known for using innovative technologies and tools in the investigation and re-construction of several archaeological findings. He has authored several dozens of publications in excellent international scientific journals and conference proceedings and his work is well known and cited.
